Now, 15 years later, even the most vulnerable group affected at that time\u2014children\u2014are approaching adulthood. But let's ask ourselves again: do we truly understand plasticizers and know the health hazards they pose? Or are we simply enjoying the conveniences of civilization while being afraid to think about them? This time, Dr. L will share two more important papers to help everyone better understand plasticizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These two papers (Paper 1<\/a>,Paper 2)<\/a>Published in top-tier international journals in 2020 and 2025 respectively:Environment International<\/em><\/strong>,Environmental Pollution<\/em><\/strong>The paper compiles a large amount of past research data to analyze the impact and correlation of plasticizers on allergies. The following is a summary of the key points from the two papers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paper 1:"Phthalate exposure and allergic diseases: Review of epidemiological and experimental evidence"<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Cell experiments<\/strong>It can alter the function of innate immune cells (such as macrophages and dendritic cells) and adaptive immune cells (such as T cells and B cells), and may promote allergic inflammation by affecting the secretion of cytokines or interfering with signaling pathways related to immune regulation. Paper 2:"Association between exposure to airborne endocrine disrupting chemicals and asthma in children or adolescents: A systematic review and meta-analysis"<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Asthma attack<\/strong>Plasticizers detected in indoor dust samples were significantly associated with the incidence of asthma (OR: 1.21). In the field of environmental medicine, pollutant exposure values are often at extremely low concentrations (ppm, or even ppb), and the exposure methods are highly diverse, which often makes research difficult. This is why, even though research results are scarce compared to other medical fields, we need to be more cautious when we see relatively obvious consistency in environmental medicine research (such
